HOW NECESSARY IS THE TRIAL?

WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE THE TRIAL FOR?
You should aim to schedule your trial at least two to three months out from your big event. This gives time for planning color and cut as well as acquiring any accessories necessary. If you book it too early in the planning process, changing trends or chronic indecision could lead to second-guessing.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO THE TRIAL?
Gather photos of your favorite hairstyles and make sure you have different perspectives of each style to give a complete picture of what you're looking for. With the right images, Erin can have an open conversation with you about what will and will not work. Remember that pictures are only for inspiration; the actual style of your hair will vary depending on the wedding season, texture, length, and condition of your hair.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR THE TRIAL?
To get the best sense for how things will read on your wedding day wear something polished and similar to the color of your dress. It’s easier at your trial to envision what you will look like on the day of the wedding when there isn’t such a disconnect between your hairstyle and your clothing. You should also wear subtle make-up.
WHO SHOULD I BRING TO THE TRIAL?
Just like wedding dress shopping, the last thing you need is multiple opinions being thrown out there in a limited amount of time. Bring someone you trust and who knows your style, this will help make the experience far more pleasant and will help give you insight on your options.
DO I HAVE TO COMMIT TO A STYLE STRAIGHT AWAY?
Erin will take a lot of photos for you to share with your family and friends for review and feedback.
SHOULD I WASH MY HAIR FOR THE TRIAL?
To make the most out of the trial time, wash and dry your hair the night before or morning of, sans products. This will allow Erin to dive right into experimenting your look without having to shampoo or blow-dry also. Wear your hair naturally so Erin can get familiar with your natural length and texture and can plan accordingly for products or tools she may need.
WHERE DO YOU DO YOUR TRIALS?
Erin can travel to you or you can come to her studio in Shelburne, Vermont.
IS THE TRIAL AN ADDITIONAL COST?
Erin is dedicated to making you look drop dead gorgeous on your special day and understands this is an essential step in realizing your vision. For this reason the cost of the trial is included in your total package.
HOW LONG DO TRIALS LAST?
Trials are typically 1-2 hours, and Erin is happy to try more than one look with you.
DO MY BRIDESMAIDS NEED A TRIAL?
Generally, they are mainly a "day of" style! However, if they choose to schedule an appointment, it is a separate charge.
WHAT DO YOU CHARGE FOR WEDDINGS?
Prices start at $??? per service for brides (including complimentary consultation) and $??? per service for other bridal party members. However, because each event is unique Erin creates a customized package based on your specific needs.
DO YOU STAY FOR THE WHOLE WEDDING?
Many brides ask Erin to stay for the duration of the event. Weather conditions, post-ceremony veil removal, pre-photo touch ups and sometimes even a totally different hairstyle for the reception, are all considerations. Erin will work with you to create a plan that works best for your needs and budget.
